Open Data goes live
From today, seven datasets — including real-time congestion, GTFS, ward boundaries, and the public grievance feed — are available at data.shillongone.gov.in.
From today, anyone can build on Shillong's traffic data. Seven datasets are live at our new open data portal — three real-time, four reference. Three formats — JSON, GeoJSON, and CSV — plus a documented HTTP API for the real-time feeds.
We are particularly proud of the public grievance feed. Every grievance filed on ShillongOne — except those flagged as private by the citizen — is in the feed within sixty seconds, with location, category, status, and the public response. We hope university teams, civic researchers, and our own data fellows will build on it.
The first cohort of the Shillong Open Data Fellowship begins in June. Applications open Monday.
