The week in traffic — issue 12
On the GS Road one-way trial, the new bus priority signals, and a curious dip in citizen-reported potholes.

The GS Road one-way trial begins next week — Monday 17:00. We expect three rough days. Please be patient with our officers.
The bus priority signal at Khyndai Lad went live yesterday — buses on Routes 1 and 5 with the new transponders are now triggering an extension on the green when they're within 80 metres. MTC will publish on-time figures next month.
A curious thing: pothole grievances are down 38% this month. We do not think we are 38% better at not having potholes — the bigger driver is probably the early dry season. We're treating this as a free window to do every patch and every overlay we can. PWD has a plan for the Mawlai bypass shoulder, the Lumparing patches, and four other backlog items.
Drive safely.
